The Commons at Kenmore is a 113 unit senior living community designed to serve the elderly in the Buffalo suburb of Kenmore, New York. The building contains a variety of apartment styles. Each separate, private accommodation is carefully planned with home-like touches including window and floor treatments, individual climate control and added safety features. Each apartment has a ful bath and kitchenette. The overall size of the building is 88,000 square feet.
Amenities at the Commons include a central dining room, library, living room, cocktail lounge, private dining room, hair salon, arts and crafts room and numerous other intimate lounges and television rooms. The building is located in the heart of the Village of Kenmore on Delaware Avenue, which allows residents access to the local shopping centers, medical offices and places of worship they are accustomed to frequenting.
The Commons is a four story brick and stucco building with an English Arts and Crafts architectural design. The interior finishes have been carefully selected to reflect the "homelike" feel that is vital to the success of this new type of senior living facility.
