DAVID W. MURPHY
joined the Pioneer Companies in 1996 to spearhead the company's real estate brokerage joint venture throughout Central New York with CB Richard Ellis. The following year David was appointed to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer and for the past decade has been responsible for overseeing all of Pioneer's success in property management, leasing and development. In 2007, David was asked to assume the position of President/Vice Chairman of the Board for the Pioneer Companies with continued responsibility for managing and directing all day-to-day operations with special emphasis on a new acquisition and investment strategy.

A native of Syracuse, New York, David holds a Masters in Business Administration from Syracuse University with concentrations in both accounting and finance. Prior to joining Pioneer, David held several senior financial positions with public companies including IBM (Divisional Controller), Paradyne (Senior Vice President/CFO) AT&T (Senior Vice President), Western Digital (Senior VP/CFO) and Onondaga County (Chief Fiscal Officer). As a seasoned executive, David has brought to Pioneer a skill set helpful in developing a company that strives to exceed its customers' expectations.

Mr. Murphy has for a number of years served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Onondaga Community College, recognized as the second fastest growing community college in the nation. David was recently appointed by the Chief Justice of the State of New York to serve as a member of the states independent Judicial Election Qualification Commission. Prior board involvement included the Salvation Army, Pinellas County Urban League, chairman of a local youth hockey organization and member of the Northern District of New York's Merit Selection Panel.
