MICHAEL PAUL FALCONE
joined his father at the inception of the Pioneer Companies in 1987 and now serves as its Chairman and CEO. Since joining the firm, Michael has been involved in every facet of the business. As a fourth generation builder, he has a particular interest in both the design and long-term functionality of each project. Upon being named CEO in 1997, his primary duties have included strategic planning and new initiatives. Additionally, Michael is the primary contact for sourcing equity and joint venture partners. He has been involved in the development and planning of nearly $2 billion of real estate projects throughout the course of his career.

Prior to joining the company, Michael worked as a broker in Boston for The Codman Companies, which at the time was one of New England's largest commercial real estate brokerage companies.

Michael holds a BSBA degree in English from Georgetown University and has been involved with numerous charitable and educational organizations. He has served on the boards of Cinema North Corporation, Avant Financial, Reliance Bank, LeMoyne College, Cayuga Community College, Elmcrest Childrens' Center, Landmark Theater, American Red Cross and the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce. Currently he serves as Vice President and Trustee of the Eaglebrook School in Deerfield, Massachusetts, Executive Committee member of the Syracuse University School of Architecture Advisory Board and Syracuse Stage, where he is the Chairman of the Capital Campaign and a member of the executive committee.

Professionally, he is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the U.S. Green Building Council, the New York State Green Building Council and the Congress for New Urbanism.
